The project Sports and Innovation. New pathways for Integration is an initiative of the spanish Gantalcalá Youth Association, developed in the frame of the European Union's Youth in Action Program, which aim is bringing together 24 youth workers, sport managers from Europe to share to knowledge and put into practice innovative approaches in the use of sport as an inclusion tool among youngsters.
As we have agreed with IKF, we have held a workshop during the IKF General Meeting this weekend.
3 MKBA volunteers (Henk Jongstra, Bandor Nagy and Juca Veres) presented our achievements so far, and issues of korfball pormotion and reaching youth with korfball.
After these lectures there was an active conversation, and an exchange of ideas with members of the audience, so together we were able to come up with fresh ideas on how to promote korfball to the youth.
In case you missed it, here you can check out the MKBA Workshop! We will be happy to hear your comments!
"A tegnapi nap elkezdtük a gyerekek közt is bevezetni a korfballt. Mindenkinek nagyon tetszett, és azok a gyerekek jeleskedtek, akik amúgy nem szeretnek semmit csinálni. Csak úgy dobálták a "gólokat"! A 3. osztályosok is baromira ügyesek voltak, nem is gondoltam volna. Sajnálom, ha mások nem ugranak az új sportágakra, mert nálunk nagyon bejött. Ma jön a 2. felvonás, vagyis a többi osztály." Jancsikné Struve Katalin, testnevelő tanár, Dunakeszi
I predict that, under your activities, in some years Hungary will be the a "real threat" for the dutch team and I hope the KNKV can be of good assistance in these efforts. Jaap Broersma, Secretary general, KNKV
"It's super what you are doing!" Anjo, korfball volunteer, Vaassen, The Netherlands
