The goal of Juvenalis Program is to bring korfball to children, and increase kids’ opportunity for daily, quality physical activities.
Ancient Roman poet, Juvenalis wrote: “Mens sana in corpore sano”, which means Sound Mind in a Sound Body – this is the Motto of MKBA’s new program, which has been developed with the distinct goal of bringing korfball to children and attracting children to korfball, both being a challenging task these days.
MKBA’s own researches and consultation with members of the MKBA Advisory Board has led to the conclusion that one of the main tasks of MKBA is the development of a program that can increase children’s fitness level and develop a lifelong habit of active living. The program uses korfball to help children developing social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills in a positive, safe and fun atmosphere. As kids progress through the MKBA Juvenalis Program, they will grow into confident players with a strong set of korfball skills and an understanding of teamwork. In this way, helping children will also help korfball to attract new players.
MKBA has two main strategic partners in realizing the program: Semmelweis Medical University of Budapest, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, and the Association of Hungarian Girls Guides.
